This exclusive set is designed to be equivalent in tension to traditional light gauge steel core acoustic strings (ca. 160 lbs). Since many acoustic guitars are designed for this tension, no neck adjustments are required.

Because we've minimized the galvanic couple (with our patented string design), this set is corrosion resistant (see the chemistry page). In addition, these strings have been protected with a patent-pending, ceramic-like, "silsesquioxane" surface treatment for even longer string life. We've also eliminated the use of a ductile tin layer (as is used with conventional steel-core strings). In fact, we've eliminated the use of all "sound dampening materials" within the speaking length of the string, resulting in a longer "bright period" with less mechanical wear.

We've developed an exclusive, patented sheathed-end design, which prevents recoil of the windings both during storage and during installation. These sheathed-ends should not be removed until the guitar is strung, otherwise recoil may occur (see directions for use)

The longevity of this set is indefinite. It exceeds that of conventional strings by orders of magnitude.

This set projects sound characteristics that are similar to those of new, conventional steel-core phosphor bronze strings, but with a slight difference in timbre which is uniquely "titanium". The "mellow plateau" of this set yields a tone which is distinctly different from the tone of the medium tension nickel set.

Like our other sets, the lower stiffness Titanium core translates to easier playability.
